Full Dentures

With one on one consultation, we work together through the important stages like choosing the shade and size of the teeth. Along with working on the profile and lip support of the dentures and the other most important feature is the function of all dentures. The “bite” becomes a progressive feature as the patient adapts to the new dentures.

Immediate Dentures

Whether one tooth needs to be replaced or the whole arch, we can pre-make a denture to be immediately inserted straight after the extraction of the natural teeth. In consultation with your dentist, we will plan, prepare, and produce the denture then follow up with you as the mouth recovers and resorbs before relining the base to refit the denture once healing has occurred.

Repairs

Dentures rarely break in the mouth unless they are ill-fitting and the bite pressure stresses the acrylic and breakage occurs.

Dentures don’t bounce either, dropping them in a basin whilst cleaning or falling to the floor can cause an unseen fracture before eating with them and they break.

We repair dentures every day, and make it our duty to repair as quickly as possible knowing you may not have a spare denture to get you through the time we need to repair it. Tends to happen when you have something important on so we make it a priority of our day's work.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures also require special attention due to the combination of natural teeth and the new denture. We offer metal framework partial dentures, which have a more superior fit over a longer period. Acrylic dentures are a good introduction to partial dentures as they are a quick replacement for natural teeth which may need urgent extraction and can be pre-made and immediately inserted.

Reline

This is a day procedure where we remodel the fitting surface to accurately refit the mouth after significant changes, for example, the removal of teeth. As the mouth can change, as our bodies do over time, the denture base may need updating to refit the mouth.

Mouthguards & Niteguards

Mouthguards are also high on our specialty list, especially for children. We encourage early use of a customised & specifically made for that mouth. This is to protect any soft tissue damage inside the mouth in the event of a heavy contact ie cheek or lip biting, and preventing tooth to tooth impact leaving the teeth chipped or broken.

Senior sports mouthguards are also customised with a range of thicknesses to suit multiple sports. Creating a firmer fit so as to be able to call or shout out and breathe with ease on the football field or netball court. Part of the protection is a well fitted mouthguard.
